Agulhas the Whale is named after the coastal town of L’Agulhas at the Southern most tip of Africa, where two oceans meet.
This original metal and assemblage sculpture portrays a Southern Right Whale in a steampunk aesthetic concept.
Southern Right Whales can be spotted along the shores of L’Agulhas from June to December as they make their way to South Africa’s southern coastline to birth their young in the safety of sheltered bays.
